Christmas Fun in Room 1

We have been very busy making lovely Christmas art over the past few weeks. Here are some samples of our great work!

We went to visit the crib in Frankfield church today and Father Ben kindly talked to us about the crib and the nativity story.

Merry Christmas and happy new year from all the Junior Infants in Room 1!

Our Christmas concert (Room 3 and 4)

After many weeks of learning our songs and actions, our concert was a great success!! Everyone performed wonderfully and we had great fun! Well done Rooms 3 and 4!!!

Halloween in Room 3

We had great fun making our pumpkin. Some were very brave in helping Ms. O' Keeffe clean out the pumpkin!!

We put a lot of work into painting, cutting and sticking our pumpkins together and they turned out fabulous!

Our dress-up day was loads of fun! We coloured a spooky Halloween picture.

We played games like 'Limbo under the Broomstick'.

Don't let the grape drop from the top of the flour cake or....

...you'll have to dip your face in the flour!!!!

We played apple bobbing.

Using straws we had to race to get the ghosts in the cauldron.

Lastly, we played toss the beanbag into the pumpkin.

We had great fun all day and we all looked amazing in our dress-up costumes!

Book Week and planting daffodils in Room 3

Book Week

Together, using the whiteboard, the class designed our Book Week display.

We then worked hard to create the background and the houses for our three little pigs!

We are so proud of  our Book Week display - well done!!

Here we are planting daffodils with Michael, our caretaker. We can't wait to see how they will look next year!

Here are our lovely Autumn trees that we painted.
